San Francisco City Hall Wedding | Carrie + Dylan

San Francisco City Hall is as beautiful as you can imagine, if not more! If you haven’t had the chance to visit, definitely put it on your SF list. The architecture and design details are stunning. There’s also a bit of history to enjoy. City Hall hosts up to 3 civil ceremonies every half hour, not including private ones. That’s almost 40 ceremonies per day! It’s strange to think that Monday-Friday is just another ‘day in the office’ for some folks. Luckily, I get to partake in some of those days :).

Carrie and Dylan reached out to me regarding their ‘destination wedding’ in SF late last year and, in our initial conversations, warned me about not being as photogenic as others. They could not be more wrong! These are two of *the* nicest people I’ve ever met and their sweet genuity totally shows. Attributed to their Canadian roots? Perhaps! 🙂

Since City Hall can get *very* crowded on a Summer Friday, Carrie & Dylan met me for pre-ceremony portraits a few hours before. How lucky were we to get some of these images without catching the tour groups on the sides!? In addition to City Hall, the two also held a small tea ceremony to honor Carrie’s Chinese heritage. I just love how the red pops and contrasts from the City Hall images! After saying “I do,” the newlyweds celebrated with their closest friends and family at Absinthe down the street. The food hit the spot and that cake! Oh so scrumptious!

So honored to have photographed this special day for Carrie + Dylan. <3.
